I’ve been taking photographs for over a decade, ever since completing a photography A-level. I chose to pursue another career while keeping photography as an outlet on the periphery, not a source of pressure or expectation. That freedom has shaped how I work. slowly, deliberately, and on my own terms.
Many of the photographs I make are rooted in the natural world. I’m drawn to places and moments that feel earned rather than staged, and to photographs that encourage a quieter kind of attention, images that don’t demand to be seen, but reward those who stay with them.
I currently work as a senior arboricultural consultant, spending my days among trees and landscapes. That closeness to nature inevitably influences how I see, and finds its way into my photographs. My hope is that my images help people feel more connected, to the outdoors, to the value of quiet work, and to the idea that we are not separate from the natural world, but part of it.
